About the doctor
Dr. Leszczyszyn
Is a graduate of Medical University in Wroclaw. He received his PhD degree at the same university and defended habilitation thesis at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
Dr. Leszczyszyn is certified specialist in General Surgery, Coloproctology and Gastroenterology, registered in Irish Medical Council and Polish Medical Council. He is a fellow of Europan Board of Surgery – Division of Coloproctoly.
During his career he held the position as:
- Head of the Department of Endoscopic Surgery in the PKP Hospital in Wrocław, Poland
- Head of the Department of General Surgery and Oncology in Military Medical University, Wroclaw, Poland
- Head of the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery at the Hospital EuroMediCare in Wroclaw.
His scientific and professional interests are focused on surgical treatment of the gastrointestinal tract, colon and rectum diseases. He was a pioneer of minimally invasive surgery in Poland. In 1991, as the second in Poland he performed laparoscopic gallbladder removal, and in 1993 he performed the first laparoscopic anterior rectal resection in Poland.
Dr. Leszczyszyn introduced in Poland innovative, minimally invasive hemorrhoids surgery, called Longo method (currently PPH technique)
